This course is designed for those who have never followed Chinese lessons before. The course encompasses all aspects of listening, speaking, reading and writing with the emphasis on phonetic training (pinyin) and grammatical structure. By the end of this course you will have an active working knowledge of 150-200 characters and can carry a simple conversation. Also in the beginners course you will learn about the background and history of Chinese characters, how you can find words in a dictionary, and how you can type the characters on a computer.

The group lesson “Chinese for Beginners 1” at locations Amsterdam Vrij University and Utrecht LRC College will be physical lessons in a classroom.
