This course is designed for those who have never followed Chinese lessons before. The course encompasses all aspects of listening, speaking, reading and writing with the emphasis on phonetic training (pinyin) and grammatical structure. By the end of this course you will have an active working knowledge of 150-200 characters and can carry a simple conversation. Also in the beginners course you will learn about the background and history of Chinese characters, how you can find words in a dictionary, and how you can type the characters on a computer.

The lessons are held once a week in 2 hour sessions.
The group lesson “Chinese for Beginners 1” on the location Amsterdam vrije Universiteit will be in a hybrid setting, so you can choose for the fysical or the online lesson.
